Itinerary
Day 1: Bagdogra / NJP - Gangtok (125 KMS 5 HOURS APPROX.)

Assistance on arrival at Bagdogra Airport / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station and drive to Gangtok.

GANGTOK:

At an altitude of 1750 m, Gangtok became the state capital in the mid - 19th century and has undergone rapid development since then. The downtown area is dominated by huge government buildings decorated with traditional Buddhist symbols. Gangtok is also a resting ground for people traveling to North Sikkim. Surrounded by monasteries and orchids, Gangtok is truly a traveller's delight.

Day 2: Gangtok

After breakfast excursion to Tsomgo Lake, Baba Mandir & back.

Tsomgo Lake:- 35 kms from Gangtok at an altitude of 12,400 feet is the beautiful Tsomgo Lake, which freezes over in winter. The lake derives its waters from melting snows of the surrounding mountains. Legends say that lamas could forecast the future by studying the color of the lake’s waters. Fishing is totally prohibited and all are requested not to dirty the environs of the lake to maintain its sanctity.

Also visit Baba Mandir.

Day 3: Gangtok - Lachung (120 KMS 7 HOURS APPROX.)

LACHUNG:

Lachung is a picturesque mountain village in North Sikkim, known for its stunning landscapes, waterfalls, and snow-covered peaks. It serves as the gateway to the beautiful Yumthang Valley, often called the “Valley of Flowers.”

Day 4: Lachung - Yumthang - Lachung

Today we will proceed on an excursion to Yumthang Valley from Lachung is a scenic drive of approx. 25 km, taking you through breathtaking mountain landscapes, rivers, and seasonal rhododendron blooms. At an altitude of around 11,800 ft, Yumthang Valley - also known as the “Valley of Flowers” - offers stunning views, with an optional visit to Zero Point (at additional cost) for snow experiences.

Evening, return to the Valley of Flowers.

Day 5: Lachung - Gangtok

Breakfast at the hotel and check out and drive to Gangtok. Arrive Gangtok by late evening.

Day 6: Gangtok - Darjeeling (98 KMS 4 HOURS APPROX.)

Breakfast at the hotel and drive to Darjeeling.

DARJEELING

Standing high in the Himalayas at an altitude of 2134 m, ‘Dorje Ling’, or place of the Thunderbolt, offers breathtaking views of snow-capped mountain peaks, with the Kanchendzonga rising higher than all the others. Often referred to as the “Queen of the Hills”, it remains just as alluring with its tiny waterfalls, little villages and a narrow-gauge railway track. Surrounded by world-famous tea gardens and snow-capped mountains, Darjeeling remains one of the most exotic destinations. Graeme Westlake, in his book ‘An Introduction to Hill Stations of India’, refers to Darjeeling as having “A view scarcely unrivalled on Earth”.

Day 7: Darjeeling

Early morning visit Tiger Hill for sunrise and back.

Tiger Hill:- It is 13 kms from Darjeeling and one can see a beautiful sunrise and the Himalayan Range like Kanchandzonga, Mount Everest, etc. One can see the horizon changing colors just before sunrise and then the entire Himalayan range turns golden. It is truly a majestic sight.

Breakfast at the hotel and proceed for city tour.

Himalayan Mountaineering Institute / Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park:- (Closed on Thursdays)

The Himalayan Mountaineering Institute was started in Darjeeling when Tenzing Norgay climbed Everest to give training in mountaineering and other adventure sports related to mountaineering. In that institute, one can see equipment, etc. used by Mr. Tenzing Norgay and the Everest Museum having complete details on Everest. Attached to the institute, one can visit the Himalayan Zoological Park where one can see Himalayan animals like Snow Leopard, Tibetan Wolf, Tibetan Yak, Himalayan Black Bear and several varieties of birds.

Tibetan Self - Help Centre or Refugee Centre:- (Closed on Sundays) This institute is run by Tibetan refugees to preserve their handicrafts and one can see the making of Tibetan carpets, leather work, paintings and wooden work, etc.

Tenzing & Gombu Rock

Tenzing and Gombu Rocks are situated on Lebong Cart Road and face opposite each other. The huge Tenzing Rock is named after Tenzing Norgay, who was famous for climbing Mount Everest accompanied by Edmund Hillary in the year 1953. Gombu Rock has got its name after Nawang Gombu. He was Tenzing’s nephew and had climbed Everest twice, becoming the first person to do so. He climbed Everest first in the year 1963 and then in the year 1965.

Japanese Temple & Peace Pagoda

Also known as Nipponzan Myohoji Buddhist Temple, the shrine was built in 1972 and is located 10 minutes away from the Darjeeling town centre, on the hill of Jalapahar. Showcasing classic Japanese style of architecture, this resplendent white building offers visitors a serene and quiet sanctum where they can meditate and seek inner peace.

Day 8: Darjeeling - Bagdogra (93 KMS 3.5 Hours Approx)

Breakfast at the hotel and drive to Bagdogra Airport for onward journey.

  • Private Transfer: Supplement for Innova / Xylo Rs. 17,000/- for the entire tour. The capacity of the vehicle is for a maximum of 06 passenger tour (Capacity up to 6 passenger).
  • Tentative Airfare: The tentative airfare (Delhi - Bagdogra - Delhi) calculated @ Rs. 14,000/- (Per Person), if any difference in airfare at the time of booking would be charged additional. (Airfare is subject to change).

Optional tour of Nathula pass (Indo China border):-

• Nathula is an excursion from Gangtok and is located above Changu Lake.

• This is a restricted area and special permits are required to visit the same. Permits are granted only between Wednesday and Sunday and can be cancelled anytime for security or weather conditions.

• Very limited number of vehicles are granted permits for Nathu La therefore the same are subject to availability and are never guaranteed in advance.

• The permits are applied only 01 day prior to the date of travel.

• The Supplement cost for Nathu La will be Rs. 7,000/- for the vehicle and Rs. 300/- Per Person for the passengers (this cost includes vehicle and individual permits).

• Documents - We need the full names, ages and gender of the passengers 02 days prior to the date of travel (by mail or sms).

• Copies of valid Indian Photo ID address proof and passport size photos will be collected 01 day prior to the date of travel from the guests directly on tour.


Important Notes:-

• Documents to be carried for Tsomgo Lake / Lachen & Lachung 02 copies of passport size photographs, original photo ID proof with photo copy (identity card - Voter ID card / Passport / Driving License) for processing the permit. PAN Card and Aadhar Card is not acceptable.

• Vehicle service is provided as per the tour Itinerary on point-to-point basis and not on disposal basis.

• AC’s will be switched off while travelling to uphill for the vehicle to function properly.

• Rates valid for Indian nationals only and valid for the mentioned dates / period of travel only.

Important Notes:-

  • All the hotels required Photo ID Proof at the time of check in. Kindly inform the same to the clients.
  • In case of any diversion due to landslide / road block any additional cost incurred with be payable directly by the guest.
  • Vehicle will be provided as per itinerary (point to point basis, and no disposal).
  • In this sector the same vehicle - irrespective of the vehicle type is not allowed to do the entire tour due to various restrictions at each destinations. Vehicles will be changed and our executives will keep the guests informed about the same.
  • Please be informed that the roads while travelling to North and West Sikkim are not in the best condition. While going to North Sikkim, only 6 people including driver, with limited luggage is allowed and is allowed in a luxury vehicle. This is due to steep, up hill and bumpy roads.
  • Please ask the guest to carry valid ID proof (PAN Card / Aadhar Card not acceptable) and 4 copy passport size photograph for Tsomgo Lake / Baba Mandir Visit. These excursions are subject to road and weather conditions. Once the permits have been issued in case you are unable to reach the points because of a landslide / road block / snowfall, there will be no refund applicable.
  • A few sightseeing places are closed on particular days of the week in every destination. While routing the program a few points may be closed on particular days of sightseeing in which case alternate open points in the city will be covered but it will not be possible to cover those closed points on next day.
  • Tiger Hill in Darjeeling cannot be guaranteed as there is a limitation on the total number of vehicles permitted to visit every day, in case the visit cannot be done early in the morning, the point will be visited anytime during the day.
  • Ac will be switched off while travelling to up hill for the vehicle to function properly. Please note the quotation is made for Indian Nationals only. If the clients are foreigner then these rates and Itinerary will not be applicable as there are some restriction for foreigners clients such as - Single Pax foreigner is not allowed to visit Lachen, Lachung, and Tsomgo Lake. More than two Pax foreigner is required to visit Lachen, Lachung and Tsomgo Lake along with a Mandatory Guide which will be at additional cost. Baba Mandir, Nathula Pass, Gurudongmar Lake is not allowed for any foreigners. So if the clients are foreign nationals then please check with us.
  • Visiting Tiger Hill requires obtaining a special permit in advance, which can be obtained by informing the concerned authorities. In case the guest decides not to visit, the permit must be returned along with a written statement by 09:30 - 10:00 AM, stating the reason for not visiting. The driver for sightseeing may arrive a little late due to this process. If the guest chooses to visit Tiger Hill in the morning, they will not be able to visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop due to traffic regulations. However, guests have the option of visiting Tiger Hill during the day and can also visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop if they choose to do so.


Travelling Mandates:-

• Guests requested to carry 02 passport size snaps and valid Indian photo ID address proof per person. Pan and Aadhar are not accepted in Sikkim.


Sikkim Mandatory Documents:-

  • Scanned Identification document of all Traveler. Any one - Voters card, Driver’s license, Passport. (image size between 10KB and 100KB PNG or JPG format).
  • Passport size photos. (image size between 10KB and 100KB PNG or JPG format).
  • Hotel details. Name of the hotel, check in check out date along with scanned copy of booking / reservation proof.
  • Name phone number of any family member to contact in case of emergency.
